Background
The UAE will host it’s first-ever UAE–Africa Tourism Investment Summit on October 27, 2025, bringing leaders from all of Africa and the Gulf together to deepen cooperation in hospitality, tourism, and investment. The summit will be staged in Dubai under one roof of the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS World 2025), one of the region’s largest forums for the travel and hospitality industry.
Organizers said the gathering is expected to attract more than 250 high-level delegates from 53 African countries, including government officials, private-sector stakeholders, investment promotion agencies, and tourism ministers. The event aims on creating a platform for exploring new partnerships, unlocking investment opportunities, and encouraging cross-border collaboration in sectors critical to sustainable economic growth.
To formalize preparations, the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Bench, organizers of FHS World. The agreement was finalized in the presence of UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and signed by senior representatives from both sides.
Officials noted that the summit will play a key role in positioning the UAE as a gateway for African investments, while also giving African countries access to one of the world’s most dynamic tourism and trade hubs. Discussion topics will include public–private collaboration, infrastructure development, sustainable tourism, and future-ready investment models.
The initiative also relates to the UAE’s long-term national strategy, namely, “We the UAE 2031” vision, which aims to strengthen international economic relations and provide more opportunities in future-oriented industries.
Since 2006, when it was originally launched as the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference, FHS has grown into a truly global forum for investment and industry dialogue. By introducing an Africa-focused summit, the UAE is showing its commitment to building closer economic ties with and growing together with the continent.
