Saudi Arabia Launches Factory Development Consultant License to Strengthen Industrial Sector

Saudi Arabia has introduced a new factory development consultant licensing service, a strategic move aimed at bolstering the country’s industrial sector. The initiative, unveiled by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, is designed to enhance the efficiency of industrial facilities, improve operational performance, and elevate production capabilities by leveraging the expertise of national professionals.

The new license is part of the ministry’s broader efforts to advance the Kingdom’s industrial infrastructure. It grants qualified consultants the authority to assist manufacturing facilities in reducing material costs, developing and implementing corporate strategies, and optimizing overall operations. By doing so, the ministry aims to foster a more competitive and effective industrial landscape.

The role of a factory development consultant is multifaceted. Licensed professionals will be responsible for organizing and streamlining processes within factories, improving quality standards, and conducting performance analyses to identify areas for improvement. These consultants will also play a crucial role in engaging with key company stakeholders, including investors and board members, to ensure that the strategic goals of the organization align with operational practices.

To qualify for this licensing service, applicants must meet specific criteria. They must be Saudi nationals and possess at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized local university or college. Alternatively, applicants can qualify with an equivalent degree from an internationally recognized institution outside the Kingdom.

This initiative is expected to significantly contribute to the development of Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector by not only improving existing operations but also by fostering innovation and competitiveness within the industry. The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources sees this as a vital step in aligning the Kingdom’s industrial capabilities with international standards, ultimately supporting the broader goals of economic diversification and industrial growth as outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
